Channels in Auware represent the traffic sources you use to drive visitors to your landing pages. Each channel gets its own unique URL for every audience landing page, which means you can track exactly which traffic source is driving the best performance for each audience segment.
What is a Channel
A channel represents a specific marketing platform or traffic source. Auware includes six built-in channel types: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, Email, and Custom. When you add a channel to your campaign, Auware generates unique URLs for that channel across all of your published landing pages.
For example, if you have a campaign with three audience pages and you add Facebook and Email as channels, you will get six unique URLs - one for each audience-channel combination. The Facebook URL for your “Fitness Enthusiasts” audience is different from the Email URL for the same audience, which allows you to measure performance separately.
Setting Up Channels
You manage channels in the Review and Publish step of the campaign wizard, or from the campaign detail page after publishing. To add a channel, select the channel type from the dropdown. Each channel appears with its unique URLs listed next to each audience landing page, ready to copy and paste into your ad campaigns, email templates, or wherever you are driving traffic.
Using Channel URLs in Your Campaigns
Once you have your channel URLs, use them as the destination in your marketing campaigns:
For Facebook and Instagram ads, paste the Facebook channel URL for the appropriate audience as your ad’s destination URL. When your ad targets “Budget-Conscious Families,” use the Facebook URL for that audience. When your ad targets “Fitness Enthusiasts,” use the Facebook URL for that audience.
For email campaigns, use the Email channel URL. This lets you track email-driven traffic separately from paid ad traffic, even when both go to the same audience’s landing page.
For Google ads, use the Google channel URL as your ad’s final URL.
For TikTok, use the TikTok channel URL.
For any other traffic source - affiliate programs, influencer partnerships, SMS campaigns - use a Custom channel.
UTM Parameters
You can add your own UTM parameters or custom query string parameters to any channel URL. Auware preserves any parameters you append, so your existing analytics and attribution tools (Google Analytics, Klaviyo, etc.) continue to work as expected. Simply add your parameters to the end of the Auware channel URL.
Tracking and Attribution
Every visit to a channel URL is tracked automatically. Auware records which landing page was viewed, which audience it belongs to, which channel drove the visit, and the timestamp. When a visitor completes a purchase, Auware attributes the order back to the specific audience and channel combination. This data powers the analytics dashboard, letting you compare performance across channels and audiences side by side.
Vanity Domains
On Pro and Agency plans, you can assign a vanity domain to your landing pages instead of using the default Shopify URL. A vanity domain like deals.yourbrand.com creates cleaner, more professional URLs that work across all channels. You configure vanity domains in your Settings page and assign them to landing pages during the Review and Publish step.
